Much has happened since I last posted. I have been meaning to start posting regularly, but a lot has been going on and my time has been fairly limited.
We are still seeing reports daily concerning the new President of the United States of America. People are still angry that he was elected and there are those who are still diligently pursuing a way to have him removed from office. Unfortunately, as is the case in many democratic countries, one need not win the popular vote to win the election and be placed into office. In the case of Donald Trump, he did not win the popular vote, but he did win the Electoral College vote, which in the United States is what counts and decides who wins the election and becomes president.
Here at home in Canada, we have our own problems with politicians. Our Prime Minister apparently took his family to a private island for Christmas at a cost of over $100,000. I listened last week to a local radio station and a segment called Randall’s Rant, which I try to listen to every weekday as it’s rather entertaining. You can listen to the rant on the Chez 106 radio station website.
But now back to the Spring season. I’m not sure how the winter has been for other areas, but here in Ottawa, it feels like it has been much longer than recent years. Just yesterday we broke a record for snowfall on March 24th with over 20 centimeters falling. As I recall, this wasn’t the first snowfall record we broke this winter. It was only a few years ago that we experienced days in March where we saw temperatures in excess of 20C. Personally, I can’t wait for the snow to be gone and to be able to wear shorts and light shirts when going outside instead of the boots and winter coats we now must put on.
Going forward, I hope to be posting regularly and I’m also working on some other websites I intend to bring online soon. I also will be getting some YouTube channels up and start posting some videos that I hope will be helpful to others. As always, if you have something to say, leave a comment in the section below.
