Time For Change
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything. The last few weeks have been hectic and busy with little time for doing work on websites. I’ve been going over some of my posts from the last few months and have noticed that they are very dry and rather boring to read. I write in a completely different manner than how I speak, which usually consists of some language some may consider offensive. I’ve also remained rather neutral when providing views on the subjects I have chosen to write about in my posts. The fact is, there will often be someone who you may be writing about who is subject to ridicule or will be called some names or labelled in one way or another.
Going Forward
Going forward, I intend to write as I speak and if it offends some, I really don’t care. There’s a lot of shit happening in the world these days and providing neutral views isn’t going to help initiate any type of change. We have the question of gun control in the United States where students are leading the cause for change while overpaid politicians are sitting on their hands unable to see the light with their heads up their asses. You have to commend these kids that are protesting for change as they aren’t asking that guns be banned, but that their government puts forth some common sense solutions to the ever growing problem of gun violence. And what does the government propose: they suggest that there should be tighter controls on background checks and raise the age that someone can purchase a gun. Recently, there was also talk of banning bump stocks on rifles. While some of these measures will provide some help, they don’t address the issue at the level needed. It seems when it comes to the American politician, the National Rifle Association calls the shots, and no one wants to go up against them and take a course of action that is really needed to be taken. When it comes to gun control in the United States, the 2nd Amendment argument is always brought to the forefront. One sentence that allows any nutbar to buy and keep a firearm. And that sentence is as follows:
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
A sentence written in the Bill of Rights in 1789 that doesn’t specify what kind of arms one is able to purchase and bear, but only that the right shall not be infringed. Had those who had written this bill had known that there would be assault rifles capable of spitting out bullets at the rate they now do with magazines able to dozens of rounds, they may have worded this amendment differently. Aren’t laws meant to be updated as times dictate necessary change? But more on that bullshit at a later date.
Change Can Be Good
I’m hoping that some changes will make this site more interesting to read and bring in some more traffic. I have some other websites to develop as well and will set those up to reflect the type of traffic I’m trying to attract. This site however, is my personal blog and there are things going on that really piss me off, so expect to see some of that come through in the future posts. I’m still working on learning how to play the guitar and continuing to take pictures as an amateur photographer. Being amateur means, I don’t sell any of the shit I spend money on creating and producing. But that’s the downside of being an amateur.
Enough for now. Check back later for some new posts or feel free to go back and check out some of the older posts.
Later,
